The troop committee and leaders meeting will be next Wednesday at 6PM at Myles. We will be finalizing the spring trip plans, summer camp at Henderson and events coming up over the next 2-3 months. The troop meeting will be a holiday party. Scouts were asked to bring snacks to share. Santa hats are optional.

Senior Patrol and PL/APL from each patrol are invited to camp for a weekend of team building and skill challenges.  $10 cash for food is due on 12/16. Plan to sleep in cabin and spend the weekend outside regardless of weather conditions. Departure and pickup times will be finalized on the 16th.

Wednesday 12/9 we will be collecting the holiday gifts for the needy family. If you wish to donate, new items should be wrapped with the name on them.

Thursday 12/10 we will be helping with food boxes for the needy at St Thomas Church Parish Center from 4:45pm to 600pm. Good opportunity for service hours and to help the less fortunate during the holiday season. We could use 20+ scouts.

• All Candy and Popcorn money is due. Checks should be made out to Troop 4 BSA. If you did not sell your $125 is also due.
• We are assisting a needy local family again this year. We will have a signup sheet and clothing size information at the meeting. It would be nice to have a wide variety for each of them. Gifts must be brought to the scout meeting next week Dec 9. They should be wrapped and labeled. Used items in good condition can also be brought to the meeting, they should not be wrapped.

The troop committee discussed and approved sponsoring a family again this year. This is totally voluntary for scouts/families. The attached word document explains the program and how to wrap items. Scoutmaster Obernesser will have a spreadsheet at our next meeting on Dec 2. You can sign up for a gift (or gifts) or simply make a $$ donation which we will use to purchase items. Gifts will be collected at the Dec 9 scout meeting.
