This occurs after the Regatta and Leaders meeting on Saturday 8/29. It is a great opportunity to do a community service. Please wear a Scout shirt of some sort.

Hello everyone…

One last shout out regarding the Utica Zoo’s, Cultures & Creatures event this Saturday — a community service opportunity for scouts interested in helping with the event clean up.

If you’re volunteering on Saturday, please arrive by 6pm, at the Utica Zoo. I will meet you and your scout at the entrance, by the gift shop at that time. I will give everyone gloves and bags for collecting garbage around the zoo.

At this point I think there are 4-5 scouts who have signed up – we’ll send them out in two groups to collect together and they will be done no later than 8pm!

Parents are encouraged to come along and help. The event does not end until 7pm and it promises to be a lot of fun! Please spread the word – it’s free too!
